LaChelle focuses on assisting the firm’s clients with a wide range of insurance regulatory compliance matters. Her services include preparing and obtaining approval of insurance company, agency and TPA license applications in many states. She also advises all types of regulated entities on their compliance efforts with state and federal insurance requirements, including the PPACA and HIPAA.
LaChelle works extensively with health insurers and other members of health care systems to provide guidance on the constantly changing health care regulatory framework. She has assisted in developing unique health insurance products for all market segments, including commercial group and individual products and Medicare and Medicaid products.
LaChelle also provides guidance to the firm’s clients on communications with regulators and policyholders who have regulatory and business concerns with insurance product benefit and rating matters. Her assistance has included litigation and regulatory inquiries involving complex agent licensing and compensation disclosure issues.
Prior to joining the firm, LaChelle served as Senior Real Estate Counsel for Limited Brands Inc., where she drafted and negotiated lease documents as well as counseled business directors and senior management on legal strategy, deal management, risk assessment and lease negotiations for all corporate brands. |
